APOLLO5 presents a typically engaging programme moving from the liminal energy of a winter’s stillness through the contained expectation of Advent, to at its heart a gift of glowing splendour and a welcome introduction to pieces from the group’s upcoming new album, ‘Anam’. Featuring works by Victoria and Poulenc to Walton and MacMillan, APOLLO5 showcases favourite pieces arranged for the group by Paul Mealor, Lucy Walker, Adrian Peacock and Francis Wilson before returning to winter’s cold stillness courtesy of Penelope Appleyard’s own arrangement of the title work.
